Local Initiatives

Supporting the communities that we serve through local events and service projects

MAXIMUS Local Initiatives

Although the nature of our business is to work hand-in-hand with a variety of populations, MAXIMUS employees are always finding ways to deepen their commitment and service to our local communities.

From running marathons to setting up food drives, our MAXIMUS project offices are involved in many different ways. Click on a state to learn how our employees are making a difference in their local communities.

Georgia

Our Atlanta office employees participated in the spring Red Cross Blood Drive sponsored by building management and won an award for having the most participation.

Georgia Families

Our Georgia Families office recently held a team challenge to provide backpacks with school supplies to local children in need. These backpacks were distributed during one of our outreach community events and were received with much appreciation.

Georgia Child Care and Parent Services (GACAPS)

Each Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any other occasion calling for a "pot-luck" meal, our GACAPS project office staff prepares extra food to feed over 30 of Atlanta’s homeless and needy residents, a project tradition for nine years. The project team also made voluntary donation to a local pet rescue shelter and to other humanitarian initiatives.
